Tiger Woods has Entered the U.S. Senior Open—But Will He Play?

On Friday, the USGA announced that 2,780 players have entered to participate in the U.S. Senior Open at Scioto Country Club in Columbus, Ohio.
Tiger Woods was among them.

Now, this doesn’t mean he’ll play in the event. In a statement to Golf Digest, the USGA commented, “Tiger has entered the championship, simply to ensure eligibility, but will not make a decision about playing until a later date.”

Woods, who turned 50 in December, is now eligible to play on the PGA TOUR Champions and in the senior majors. As he continues to rehab from the injuries that have kept him away since the 2024 Open, it’s important to keep in mind that he will be able to use a golf cart in the aforementioned events.
