A former Georgia Bulldog got a one-of-a-kind payday from his NFL team. Philadelphia Eagles nose tackle Jordan Davis was signed to a three-year, $78 million deal, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

Davis is earning more than any nose tackle has ever earned in NFL history. His $26 million average annual value (AAV) is tied with former teammate Milton Williams for the second-highest annual pay of any interior defensive lineman, according to OverTheCap. It's also third among all active Georgia Bulldogs, behind Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens, according to Spotrac.

The deal includes $65 million in guaranteed money, which would be the most fully guaranteed money at nose tackle in history. Including his fifth-year option, Davis will be making $22.75 million per year until 2029.

It's absolutely deserved. In the 2025 season, Davis earned career highs in total tackles (72), tackles for loss (9), quarterback hits (4.5), pass breakups (6), and sacks (4.5). He also scored a touchdown from a blocked field goal. His run-stopping abilities are a big reason why the Eagles' defense is elite.

The Eagles jumped over the Baltimore Ravens to pick Davis with the No. 13 pick in the 2022 NFL draft after an impressive tenure with the Bulldogs. Davis had 91 total tackles, 12.0 tackles for loss, and 7.0 sacks through his Georgia career.

He earned the Chuck Bednarik award and was a unanimous All-American for his 2021 season. He had 32 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, and 2.0 sacks during that season.

His experience at the 2022 NFL combine was legendary. He ran a 4.78 40-yard dash despite measuring at 6-foot-6 and 340 pounds. It was the seventh-fastest time in the NFL Combine history among all defensive tackles.

The Eagles still haven't given Davis's teammate, Jalen Carter, an extension. Time will tell on that front, but Carter and Davis will be a fearsome duo in the defensive line room for years to come.
