Barcelona squad named for Athletic Club

The next Barcelona match is upon us! The Blaugrana travel to the Basque Country for a huge La Liga game against Athletic Club at San Mamés, and Hansi Flick has called up the following 22 players for Saturday’s clash:

The list of absentees is considerable for this one as Barça will be without their two starting full-backs for the next month as Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde have been ruled out with hamstring injuries and join Frenkie de Jong (hamstring) and Andreas Christensen (knee) on the injury list, while Gavi (knee) has traveled with the squad but continues to wait for his medical clearance. There is some good news at least as Robert Lewandowski (eye) is back in the fold and will be available to play with a mask, and Eric Garcia also returns after serving a suspension in midweek.
